Poem by Philein Wang:
Eternal Peace
I tread water upon the current of unfolding structures
I look, I wait to find
The time and the space where eternal peace hides
I guess
Maybe it’s inside the campfire of a moonbeam’s glow
Descending through calls clap bellowed loud
Like the harbor foghorn roll
I think it could be there
Because my imagination senses such freshness
When crickets echo off water
When new foreign strangers magically
Breathlessly fill nostalgic prints
When exactly where I am right now, right here, reassures solid
I hear blurring sounds reverberating through the sky’s tavern
I feel the elegant repose of rural soft shadows reflect
Off a silent grand piano
And I dream
I dream of centuries and planets
Where artistic excellence and embodiments of peace reign as regal hosts
And then I wake
To live, to look, to wait, to hope, to find
The time and space
Where the treasure chest of eternal peace
Upon the current of a cloud floats by
